Cancellation Policy – F&D Events

Bookings and cancellation policy for our events and masterclasses

Bookings with F&D events are subject to the following Terms and Conditions, together with all other statements or directives shown on your booking contract. Customers should note that bookings for the F&D events are taken on behalf of the Cambridge Food Tour, a business trading as ‘F&D events’, 23a Elfleda Road, Cambridge, CB5 8LZ, UK.

The Purchase Offer

A booking is deemed to be an irrevocable offer to purchase a ticket or tickets subject to the foregoing Terms and Conditions of Purchase. The acceptance of such an order by the Cambridge Food Tour shall be deemed effective when acknowledged and accepted by F&D events during the booking process. The Cambridge Food Tour shall act upon any booking so affected, but reserves the right to refuse any booking. No booking will be binding with F&D events unless full payment has received upon the payment terms mentioned in the booking contract. The Cambridge Food Tour reserves the right to vary the Terms and Conditions of Purchase at any time prior to the acceptance of an order.

Payments

Payment shall be made in Pounds Sterling and banking charges will be the responsibility of the client. The terms of payment are stated under ‘Terms of Payment’.

Content and Menus

The Cambridge Food Tour, trading as ‘F&D events’ reserves the right to alter or change the menu in case of non-availability of a product or venues in the case of any not being available on the date of the tour.

Data Protection & Photography

Personal data shall be processed in accordance with the Company’s Data Protection Policy. Photographs and video footage may be taken during the events for promotional or editorial purposes. These images may be used online or in printed matter. If you do not want images of your clients to be used please let us know in writing in advance of the event.

Attending a Masterclass or Food Event

Before you finalise your booking, please read all the information that applies to the event and/or ticket. If you or any member of your party has particular requirements please raise these when booking and we will endeavour to address your query. There can be no guarantee that requirements can be met if not notified at the time of booking.

When you receive your reservation documents please check the details carefully. When attending a Masterclass or an Event, carry proof of age if appropriate.

Terms of payment

  • To secure a booking 25% of the full amount is required
  • 6 weeks prior to event full payment is required
  • Full payment is required to secure bookings less than 6 weeks prior to the event
  • Any changes to itinerary will occur £ 5 administration fee

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in no less than 60 days in advance of the event. A cancellation is not effective until F&D events receives this notification in writing. You will then be eligible for 50% refund of your deposit, minus £5 administration fee. Bookings can be moved to another date, subject to availability. No refund will be given when cancellations are less than 6 weeks prior to event.

Minimum numbers

For private parties minimum numbers apply, which will have been mentioned on your quote and confirmation. When numbers drop below the minimum numbers, then no refund can be given.

Timings

Timings set out in the schedule are critical. If you experience a delay, then it is essential you contact us on 01223 269991 asap. We will try to accommodate you as much as possible, but as events have been booked at agreed times this is not always possible.

Indemnity

F&D events may hold you liable for any loss, expenses (including but not limited to reasonable legal costs and disbursements), losses and damages arising from or incurred by reason of any claims, demands, actions that arise as a result of your breach of these terms and conditions. This indemnity shall not apply to the extent any such claim or demand or action arises as a result of the Company’s breach of these terms and conditions.

Applicable Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. Any disputes relating to your access to and use of the Site shall be determined by the English courts. You are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws of the country from which you are accessing the Site.
